This privacy notice describes how we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our application Clap to Find Phone.

1. Information We Collect

Our application focuses strictly on functionality and intentionally minimizes any data collection. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers.

2. Device Permissions and Data Processing

To provide its core functionality, the app requests specific permissions on your device. We use these permissions only locally on your device:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): The app requires access to your device's microphone to listen for and detect clap sounds. We do not record, save, upload, or share any audio continuously. The audio processing happens entirely in real-time on your device to trigger the alert, and the audio data is immediately discarded.
• Camera (CAMERA): The app may request camera access solely to control the device's LED flashlight to blink when a clap is detected. We do not take photos, record videos, or access your image data.
• Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): We use this permission to display a persistent notification when the app's background service is actively listening for claps, keeping you informed that the service is running.

3. Third-Party Services

Currently, our app does not integrate any third-party analytics or advertising services that collect user data. If we incorporate third-party services in the future (such as Google AdMob for advertisements or Firebase for crash reporting), we will update this privacy policy to reflect those changes and provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms where applicable.

4. Data Security

Because we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers, there is no risk of your data being breached from our end. All processing required for the "Clap to Find" feature occurs locally on your physical device.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13. Given that the app operates entirely locally without sending data externally, it is safe for all ages.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
